Another Round in Pevely

As expected, Pevely is already talking about putting another business tax hike on the ballot next April, according to the May 24 Leader. And of course, there is all kinds of anonymous remorse in the community, according to Mayor John Knobloch:

“They said they didn’t know how serious it was. People who voted no say they would now vote yes. They know we’re not here to screw businesses.”

If these sentiments are factual, then Pevely’s post-election budget-slashing did the trick.
