According to they July 5 version of the Dear Leader (JeffCo version, p. 14), the Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District, which covers the southeast part of the county, just purchased six Stryker Power-LOAD cot fasteners. These are used to assist crews while loading stretchers into ambulances. The need for these? According to JPAD adminstrator Curt Stueve, “It’s nothing for us to get 400- or 500-pound patients.” He also said that at least two people in the district who weigh about 800 pounds (!) must be periodically transported by ambulance.
