JeffCo Candidate Cash

29 Jul

July 15 was the deadline for candidates to file their second-quarter financial reports with the Missouri Ethics Commission (MEC), and candidates further had to file “8 day before election” reports by July 28. Let’s take a look at how the candidates stand in some of the contested primary races. Use the controls at the bottom of the document to enlarge it if needed, and scroll with your arrow keys.

Some of the headlines from this document are the $95,000 collected by incumbent county executive Ken Waller, the big money in the 112th district House race compared to the other House races, the large sums in the judge race, and the even numbers in the county council races.

How can bankrupt candidate Mike Evans lend his campaign $1500??? Where did he get that money and did he clear it with trustee LaBarge before contributing it to his campaign instead of to his debts?
